Live-action ‘D'ORC’ movie is in the works

Sony Pictures has acquired the live-action film rights to D'Orc, Deadline reported on Oct. 19, 2026. Brett Bean, who writes and illustrates the Image Comics series, is attached to adapt it for the screen.

Deadline reported that the series debuted earlier in 2026. Its first issue sold out before release and had reached an eighth printing by the time of the report.

DiscussingFilm, citing Deadline, describes D'Orc as a half-dwarf and half-orc trying to survive in a realm where both light and dark hunt him. That is the comic's premise, not a confirmed movie synopsis: Deadline says the film's plot is under wraps.
