TLDR
In his posthumous memoir, Eric Dane recalled losing use of his right hand and receiving a diagnosis of multifocal motor neuropathy. Treatment did not help. His doctor then raised ALS as a possibility, and Dane underwent further tests before receiving an ALS diagnosis nine months later, in 2024. He made the diagnosis public in 2025 and died in February 2026 at 53.
