Prime Video has ordered Savage Son, extending The Terminal List franchise with another James Reece story. Rick Porter of The Hollywood Reporter reported the series order on Nov. 5, 2026.
Chris Pratt will return as Reece in the adaptation of the third novel in Jack Carr’s Terminal List series, Joe Otterson of Variety reported. Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media are producing the project.
The novel gives Reece an enemy with powerful protection. In Peter White’s account of the book for Deadline, a traitorous CIA officer has taken refuge with the Russian Mafia and plans to kill him. Reece, meanwhile, is recovering from brain surgery in Montana. Those are details of Carr’s novel, rather than a confirmed rundown of what the adaptation will include.
Savage Son follows two books already adapted for television: The Terminal List supplied the first season’s story, and True Believer became season two, Deadline reported. The second season premiered Oct. 21, 2026, according to Variety. The franchise also expanded with the 2025 prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards.
