Liam Neeson reportedly jokes about Meryl Streep taking over as Aslan in 'Narnia'

Meryl Streep is taking over the Aslan role Liam Neeson voiced in Disney’s earlier Chronicles of Narnia movies for Greta Gerwig’s Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew. Neeson reportedly learned of the casting from a ScreenRant reporter and said it was news to him. He then joked that if the lion, depicted as Narnia’s Jesus figure, were played by a woman, nobody would be better than Streep.
