@Logo_DaedalusI think one thing Digger is suffering from in the box office— it’s a frame narrative, so that’s already too many layers of context for the average viewer to hold in their mind. It’s a movie about the importance of reading books (key scene about having to read books!). It is a “literary” film— in the sense of what used to be called “literary fiction.” They don’t make much stuff in this tradition anymore. I dare say Inarritu would make great Roberto Bolaño adaptations.8h
