Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday are slated to open on December 18, 2026
A film account says Dune secured exclusive IMAX screens for its opening weeks, leaving Doomsday without the format.
TLDR
A film account says Warner Bros. reserved December 18, 2026, for a Denis Villeneuve film in 2024, then Disney moved Avengers: Doomsday to the same date in 2025. It says Dune: Part Three secured exclusive IMAX screens for its opening weeks and describes Disney’s Infinity Vision as a certification for premium large-format theaters, not a new projection technology.
