Michael Gray, Billy Batson on 1970s ‘Shazam!’ TV series, dies at 75

Michael Gray died Oct. 16 at 75, his family told Extra, which reported natural causes. He played Billy Batson, not Captain Marvel, on CBS’s three-season Saturday-morning “Shazam!” His other credits included “The Brady Bunch” and a cameo in the 2023 film “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.” The Hollywood Reporter reported that co-star John Davey remembered Gray’s enjoyment of meeting fans at conventions.
