James Gunn defends DCU stories that don't just set up crossovers

DC Studios co-head James Gunn defended individual DCU stories in a Threads exchange reported by Variety. He wants people to enjoy Clayface as a horror movie in its own right, rather than chiefly as setup for another story. He also pointed to connections between Superman projects, making clear that stories can stand on their own without ruling out a shared universe.
