The first footage follows Digory and Polly as they discover the Wood between the Worlds and are transported across fantastical lands by a magical ring. Daniel Craig plays Andrew Ketterley, the titular magician who gives them the ring.

Emma Mackey appears as Jadis, the future White Witch and last Queen of Charn, while Meryl Streep voices Aslan. Young actors David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell lead the cast, which also includes Carey Mulligan and Ciarán Hinds.

The trailer is scored to Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven.” Gerwig told Variety she conceived Narnia as “a world made out of music” and wanted the film to feel like a rock opera; she showed an early cut to Robert Plant and Jimmy Page while seeking permission to use the song.

The movie opens in cinemas on February 12, 2027, before arriving on Netflix on April 2. Variety says it will be Netflix’s first film to receive a global theatrical release.
