‘Saw’ director Darren Lynn Bousman to direct ‘Serpentine’

Deadline reports ‘Saw’ director Darren Lynn Bousman will direct ‘Serpentine’ for Dream State Studios and Brand in Entertainment. The thriller follows a woman trying to escape a dangerous life in a New England town where organized crime, crooked cops and competitive figure skating collide. Bousman told Deadline the film lets him stretch beyond horror while retaining dread and intensity. Deadline says brands will partly fund the film, with their products integrated into its story.
