Disney reportedly prepares more layoffs that could affect thousands

The timing and exact size of the reported new round remain unclear. Disney eliminated 1,000 roles in April and laid off a couple hundred more in September. It cut another 100 to 200 jobs in its Experiences division in late October, mostly at Imagineering. In August, Disney said involuntary reductions had already begun in some areas and would continue into 2027.
