Marvel Studios promotes Avengers: Doomsday Infinity Vision tickets ahead of Dec. 18 opening

On Oct. 29, Marvel Studios promoted Avengers: Doomsday in Infinity Vision for Dec. 18 and directed fans to Fandango for tickets. The studio’s post says, “Experience Avengers: Doomsday in Infinity Vision December 18.” It does not call its attached image a new poster.

FilmUpdates described an image attached to its post as a new Avengers: Doomsday Infinity Vision poster. It also listed Dec. 18 as the film’s theatrical date. The poster description comes from FilmUpdates, not Marvel’s ticket announcement.

There’s a distinction between the opening date and the first listed showtimes: Fandango says the film opens Dec. 18, but its listing for theaters near ZIP code 20170 displays Infinity Vision showtimes for Thursday, Dec. 17. That listing describes one theater area, not a nationwide schedule.
