HBO's Harry Potter series reportedly adds Charlie Weasley and Harry's parents to Season 1

Variety reports that Harry Gilby, Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn will play Charlie Weasley and Harry's parents, James and Lily Potter, in HBO's first season. Charlie had no acting portrayal in the films, though TVLine notes a family-photo appearance. Deadline does not specify how large the parents' roles will be. Variety lists Dec. 25, 2026, as the scheduled HBO premiere.
