Michelle Hooper is leaving Searchlight Pictures after 20 years

Deadline reports that Searchlight Pictures marketing EVP Michelle Hooper is leaving after two decades. The outlet says it understands her departure is part of Disney studio cuts earlier in October. TheWrap, which credits Deadline with first reporting the departure, says Hooper oversaw campaigns for 21 Best Picture nominees, five of which won, including “Nomadland” and “The Shape of Water.”
