Anthropic adds Claude Code rule against recreating existing games
Anthropic says original games and games within existing genres are meant to keep working under the new rule.
TLDR
Anthropic added two sentences to Claude Code’s prompt on Opus 5.5 to steer it away from recreating specific games, even if renamed. Staffer Addy Osmani said using Claude to infringe intellectual property violates the company’s usage policy. The change follows developers’ concerns about AI cloning. Alliance Arts canceled a public demo of its upcoming game, warning that its content could be used to imitate its presentation and gameplay.
