NBC expands 'Line of Fire' first season to 18 episodes

After an initial 13-episode order and a request for five more scripts, NBC ordered five additional 'Line of Fire' episodes, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety report. Variety says the first season will extend into 2027. Deadline reports more than 14 million cross-platform average viewers for the pilot, citing network and Nielsen stats. TV Insider calls the expansion promising but says it is too early for a Season 2 pickup.
