TLDR

The trailer launch signals Depp's theatrical return and generates holiday-season anticipation. Ti West's track record with gothic horror (X, Pearl, MaXXXine) applied to a classic Christmas tale creates intrigue and debate on X about genre-blending and casting choices, blending prestige direction with commercial holiday appeal and potential franchise storytelling.
