Six Booker Prize short films feature stars reading from the 2026 shortlist

Deadline reports that the six short films each feature an actor reading from a 2026 Booker Prize-shortlisted book. Himesh Patel reads from Luke Kennard’s “Black Bag,” Maxine Peake from Elizabeth Strout’s “The Things We Never Say,” and Paterson Joseph from Marlon James’s “The Disappearers.” Director Holly Blakey says she focused less on telling the books’ stories than on the feelings they leave behind.
