According to Nerdist, LEGO has announced its first Godzilla set, a 5,363-piece LEGO Ideas model based on Legendary’s Monsterverse incarnation. It’s scheduled to go on sale November 27 for $449.99 in the U.S. Source
With its Heat Ray fitted in place of its tongue, the completed model measures 27.5 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide and 15.5 inches long, Nerdist reports. The outlet also relays LEGO’s comparison that a standard minifigure reaches only to Godzilla’s ankle. Rough day to be a minifigure. Source
From fan proposal to posable monster
The model has adjustable shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers. Even the fingers get articulation, because apparently a giant Heat Ray isn’t expressive enough. Source
Nerdist describes the set as the “biggest LEGO Ideas release ever.” It traces the project back to a December 2023 submission by fan designer Matthew Esposito. Source
Where to buy it, and what the bonus includes
Nerdist lists LEGO Stores and LEGO.com as the sales channels for the announced November 27 release. It also reports a LEGO Ideas Godzilla Logo and Footprint purchase bonus for November 27–30, while supplies last. Source
