Aaron Sorkin worries the parts of directing he struggles with can’t be learned
The Hollywood Reporter says Sorkin found using a camera artfully harder than working with actors.
TLDR
The Hollywood Reporter says Sorkin would have preferred David Fincher to direct ‘The Social Reckoning,’ which Sorkin wrote and directed. He said he was surprised by how little he’d absorbed about camera work and worries that the parts of directing he struggles with may be impossible to learn. Sorkin also said he isn’t sure any of his 11 movies besides ‘A Few Good Men’ would be feature films today; he thinks they would have to be streaming.
