Todd Haynes plans to adapt 'The Maids' after 'De Noche'; Cate Blanchett could appear

Jean Genet's play Les Bonnes (The Maids) is Todd Haynes's planned follow-up to De Noche, which he told Florence Colombani in Le Point he was finishing. Haynes did not explain his approach to the story. He thinks Cate Blanchett, who performed the play onstage with Isabelle Huppert, will appear, but his remark does not confirm her casting or identify a role.
