TLDR

The Halloween cold open brought Tom Hanks back as David S. Pumpkins, accompanied by Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan in skeleton costumes. During the amusement-park ride, James Austin Johnson's Trump interrupted with jokes about the Nov. 3 midterms, including lines about poor polling and Texas turning purple. Those were the character's claims in the sketch, not an election forecast.
