Chris Rock’s ‘Misty Green’ reportedly set for Netflix on Nov. 9

Chris Rock’s A24 dramedy Misty Green is scheduled to arrive on Netflix Nov. 9, Anthony D’Alessandro reported for Deadline on Oct. 21. At the time of the report, the film was playing in limited theaters nationwide after its world premiere at TIFF. Deadline calls it Rock’s first film as director in 12 years.

Rock wrote, directed and produced Misty Green, and stars with Rosalind Eleazar, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick and Topher Grace, according to Deadline. Eleazar plays Misty, a once-promising actress trying for a second act.

Deadline notes A24’s pay-one output deal with HBO Max and attributes the film’s Netflix destination to Rock’s long-running relationship with the streamer through his comedy specials.
