TLDR

Nerdist reports that Ian Alexander, who voiced Lev in 'The Last of Us Part II,' will instead play Paco in season 3 of the HBO series. John Goodman will play Joey, Paco's partner in a duo created for the show. Nerdist calls the decision not to cast Alexander as Lev a missed opportunity.
