Disney Raises Streaming Prices Up to 13 Percent Across Services
Disney announced price increases effective immediately on Disney+, Hulu, and bundlesโthe fourth increase in four years. Premium ad-free plans rose ~13% to $21.49/month; ad-supported tiers saw smaller or no increases.
TLDR
Streaming price fatigue is a major consumer concern. Disney+ ad-free now exceeds some competitors in cost while bundling incentives reflect the industry's pivot to profitability after losses. The hikes tie into broader economic pressures on viewers and ongoing "streaming wars" consolidation.
