Jon Watts reportedly set to direct 'Star Wars: Episode X'
Nerdist reports Simon Kinberg is writing the trilogy; whether Watts will direct the other films is unknown.
TLDR
Nerdist, citing Knight Edge Media and The Hollywood Reporter, reports that Jon Watts will direct 'Star Wars: Episode X,' the first film in a Simon Kinberg-written Skywalker Saga trilogy. Nerdist says Knight Edge Media reports Daisy Ridley will return as Rey in a minor role that may expand in sequels. The outlet argues that new characters could make the trilogy worthwhile despite its frustration with more Skywalker Saga films.
