The TV Festival reportedly plans Greater Manchester debut for Aug. 31-Sept. 3, 2027

Deadline and Variety report that the TV Festival plans its first Greater Manchester edition for Aug. 31-Sept. 3, 2027, at Versa Studios Manchester and Aviva Studios. Formerly known as Edinburgh TV Festival, it is moving from Scotland; Deadline says it spent more than 50 years in Edinburgh and organizers cited affordability and accessibility. Variety names Wayne Garvie advisory chair. Festival CEO Campbell Glennie describes possible program expansions, not a finalized lineup.
