Rosamund Pike is set to star in and produce “Feed,” a body-horror film directed by Leslye Headland and written by Daniella Isaacs. Jack Dunn reported the project for Variety on Nov. 5, 2026. The film is inspired by the 2022 Finnish horror movie “Hatching.”
Pike will play Erin, the mother at the center of the story, Glenn Garner reported for Deadline. Her ambitions are focused on her tween gymnast daughter’s online success.
The official logline, reproduced by Variety, gives that pursuit a body-horror turn: “When a desperate mother discovers an obscure collagen supplement that promises to make her tween gymnast daughter an influencer star, the fame and success they crave come fast. But as her daughter goes viral, she begins a monstrous transformation.”
In a statement reproduced by Brent Lang at IndieWire, Pike described the project as an opportunity to explore social media, self-improvement, the desire for fame and “the monstrosity of modern motherhood.” She called Erin a “Momfluencer” intent on her daughter’s digital dominance, who believes that success will protect her child. Those are Pike’s stated themes for the project, rather than an assessment of a finished film.
Pike will produce through her Primitive Streak banner. IndieWire reported that ZQ Entertainment financed the script’s development.
The Veterans will handle international sales rights, with CAA Media Finance handling U.S. sales. In his Nov. 5 report, Dunn wrote that sales were scheduled to begin at the American Film Market the following week.
