Resident Evil (2026)'s game-like horror and comedy
Two viewers praise the film's resemblance to the games, but one says excessive comedy—including a padlock joke repeated three times—undercuts the ending.
TLDR
One viewer says Resident Evil feels like actually playing one of the games and delivers genuine scares, but criticizes a padlock joke repeated three times and comedy they feel drains the ending of its drama. They still recommend it and call it the best Resident Evil movie, while joking that it had little competition. Another viewer praises Resident Evil (2026) for feeling like a film about a random non-player character in one of the games.
