Premada Oorali Achieves Surprise Box Office Success in Karnataka
Low-to-modest budget Kannada family drama Premada Oorali (released Sept 25) has crossed ₹5 crore gross in Karnataka within days, with show counts surging from ~45–60 to 250–350+ due to strong word-of-mouth. A Telugu version is in rollout.
TLDR
The grassroots success story proves content and organic buzz can drive theatrical runs for smaller regional films, offering hope for Kannada cinema and contrasting with pan-India spectacles. Rapid expansion and steady collections inspire optimism for regional filmmaking.
