‘Wildwood’ projected to open to $15 million–$21 million domestically

On Oct. 21, GlobalBoxOffice projected a $15 million–$21 million domestic debut for Laika’s ‘Wildwood’, citing what it called “excellent final days of pre-sales.”

GlobalBoxOffice also suggested the film could surpass ‘The Boxtrolls,’ whose $17.3 million opening it cited as Laika’s biggest. An opening at the low end of the projected range would fall short of that figure; one at the high end would exceed it. The range is a forecast, not an opening-weekend result.
