Oscilloscope acquires North American rights to Sundance winner ‘Shame and Money’

Variety reports Oscilloscope has acquired North American rights to Visar Morina’s ‘Shame and Money’ and plans a theatrical release in early 2027. The film won Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition, which Variety says qualifies it to compete for the international feature Oscar under new Academy rules. It follows a rural Kosovo family forced to move to Pristina after losing its livelihood.
