Clayface director James Watkins explains why most of Aaron Paul's role was cut

Paul remains in the film for a fleeting nightclub scene in which Matt Hagen takes the appearance of his father, Jimmy. Watkins says the filmmakers moved away from a “sins of the father” character arc in favor of a more universal story about revenge.
