Jamie Dornan reportedly isn't trying to outdo Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in The Hunt for Gollum

Jamie Dornan will play Aragorn after Viggo Mortensen’s run in the original Lord of the Rings trilogy. In remarks to L’Officiel rendered in English by SlashFilm, Dornan describes the pressure of taking over the role and hopes to recapture some of Mortensen’s energy rather than outdo him. Variety reports Andy Serkis is directing and starring; SlashFilm lists Dec. 17, 2027, as the theatrical release date.
