Butch Coolidge's 'Pulp Fiction' role was reportedly rewritten before Bruce Willis was cast

A film-trivia thread says Butch Coolidge was first written as a young, up-and-coming boxer, with Matt Dillon in talks to play him. It says Tarantino then changed the part to an older boxer, and Mickey Rourke passed to pursue his boxing career. Sean Penn, Johnny Depp and Nicolas Cage were also on the shortlist before Miramax agreed to pay to secure Bruce Willis, according to the thread.
