Deadline estimated the domestic box office at $101.3 million for the October 4 weekend, its third straight $100 million-plus weekend this fall and 25% ahead of a year earlier. Its earlier report said ‘Verity’ earned $4.5 million in previews and ‘Digger’ $1.2 million. Citing Rentrak, Deadline said September’s domestic total reached $601.9 million, the second-highest post-Covid September.
