Regal plans to show a new 4K restoration of Michael Dougherty’s animated short “Season’s Greetings” before its Oct. 31, 2026, screenings of “Trick ’r Treat.” Brad Miska at Dread Central identifies the 1996 short as Sam’s first appearance and says Dougherty made it while studying at NYU.
