John Wilson is reportedly filming a Harry Styles ‘Together, Together’ tour documentary

Variety reports that filmmaker John Wilson has been shooting Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden since August for a documentary tied to the “Together, Together” tour, citing two sources with knowledge of the project.

The film is expected to combine live performances with a look inside Styles’ world. One source told Variety it would include “authentic human stories” involving Styles, his fans and people working behind the scenes.

Wilson is best known for HBO’s How To with John Wilson and the documentary The History of Concrete. He began his career directing music videos, making the Styles project a return to that part of his background on a much larger stage.

A theatrical release is possible, not settled

Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures and Styles are producing the documentary, according to Variety. Universal Pictures Content Group will own the global rights, but distribution plans are still being worked out. Insiders said the film may be positioned for a theatrical release through Universal.

Styles’ Madison Square Garden residency began in late August and is scheduled to continue through the end of October. Representatives for Styles, Wilson and Universal did not immediately comment to Variety.
