Maggie Gyllenhaal brings Marilyn Monroe short ‘Flesh Impact’ to Busan

Deadline reports that Gyllenhaal is attending the Busan film festival for the first time with ‘Flesh Impact,’ a short commissioned by Genesis for Marilyn Monroe’s centennial. Burstyn plays an older Monroe, while Johnson plays her younger self. Gyllenhaal said she approached both actresses despite their lack of physical resemblance to Monroe because she thought they’d appreciate being asked to do something different.
