LPT: For one week, take a photo of everything you eat instead of counting calories or journaling
The simple act of photographing your food creates awareness and can naturally shift your choices without strict tracking. In fact that's a pretty popular belief for the purpose of calorie counting- to signal awareness of how much you're actually eating and how often.
But counting calories can be tough, especially because people try to over optimize(which I can get into seperately). For some people, simplying taking photos will be enough to change food habits
