Big news for Digg Daily listeners!

In the newest mobile build, playback just got better. Thanks to a clever fix from @sospedra, Digg Daily will now keep playing even if your screen locks or you switch apps, as long as you have notifications on. You’ll see a “Digg Daily is playing today’s top stories” notification that brings you right back into the player. Previously, playback would cut off whenever your screen timed out or you left the app, which meant most listens were interrupted. With this update, episodes now play through seamlessly. If notifications are off, you’ll still see the old behavior for now. This is a temporary patch until we roll out a full native audio update, but it should make listening much smoother on both iOS and Android. Give it a spin and let us know how it feels.
