Digg Returns: An Oral History (By a Bird)
Not too long ago at a Digg meetup in Chicago, we ended the night with our friend Chad the Bird.
Chad is a longtime Chicago stage performer and satirical commentator, and he closed things out with a one of a kind oral history of Digg. He talked through how the digg button helped shape early internet culture, and why so many of us still remember that moment when the internet felt more alive.
And while Chad was looking back, the room was very much looking forward. If you have been around Digg before, now is a good time to start paying attention again.
More soon.
This YouTube video, 'Digg Returns: An Oral History (By a Bird)', offers a satirical oral history of Digg, focusing on its revolutionary impact on internet culture, its evolution, and its renewed mission to create a healthier, more transparent, and community-driven social web.
