Inconsistent and squashed thumbnails in compact view

The thumbnail widths are inconsistent and generally much too thin when viewing the feed in "compact" view, breaking the aspect ratio and often squashing images to the point of being unrecognizable. For comparison, the "comfy" view has consistent (larger) thumbnail dimensions.
