Communities discussion
In time I'd like to see some of the current communities be divided into their own sub communities. Speaking of, we'll have to work on a cute name for these sub communities, something like Diggles or Digglets (Diggletts?) Entertainment would get divided into a Television Digglett, a Movies Digglett , etc. Sports would get divided into a Baseball Digglett, Football Digglett. And so on and so forth.
Obviously we are still in the beginning stages, so things will only grow and more and more communities will be created. This is a good thing. One of the things that made Reddit thrive was having all sorts of small communities about niche things. The most random hobby or thing probably has a subreddit. However at a certain point this can be abused. In theory, no one should be excluded from making their own sub community. I don't want anyone to feel suppressed, but I feel like important questions need to be asked. I noticed that in the past few years certain subreddits began to pop out of no where that all pushed the same agenda and slowly but surely the feed would be flooded with a non proportionate amount of posts all pushing an agenda. Obviously I suppose the remedy is to subscribe to Diggletts (the name is gonna catch!) you want to see and hide Diggletts you don't, but part of the fun of searching by all was to run into something you wouldn't have otherwise.
Just something to think about. What do you all think?
