Should communities have default languages?

Was just browsing and just saw some foreign language news about some 90s celebrity. I only knew that because there was an AI tldr for the article, and digg hasn't implemented auto-translate tools except for the AI tldr.

But this got me thinking if there should be an option for non-English communities to make their default language to suit their needs, and the ability to have a feed for specific languages?

Or are all communities multilingual by default unless otherwise specified?
