    Dude is 26. My parents had two kids at that age. He is an adult and looks about 26. I’m guessing he just doesn’t want to be an adult. I was independent at the age of 18.

      Yup, because we all care about when your parents decided they didn't want anything to do with you anymore... missing the forest for the trees, he is just trying to express that he regularly gets mistaken for someone much older, like 30's or older.

      As a parent myself, I will never, ever throw my kids to the wolves at 18. I teach them self-reliance, to take responsibility, and when it comes to family it is US vs the World. Sorry your parents just couldn't do that for you. Mine couldn't either.
