Palat traded to Islanders for Tsyplakov

The New Jersey Devils traded forward Ondrej Palat to the New York Islanders for forward Maxim Tsyplakov, along with two draft picks. Palat, who has one season left on his contract, has 10 points this season and has been praised for his leadership and work ethic by Devils coach Sheldon Keefe. Tsyplakov has two points this season and had 35 points last season as a rookie.
