It's common to see electric vehicles in movies and on TV shows nowadays; they're the hot new thing, signifying wealth, status and technological advancement. But which of the EVs making Hollywood cameos get the most screen time of all?

AutoTrader compiled a list of more than 100 of the most popular EV models worldwide, and cross-referenced it with on-screen appearance data from the Internet Movie Car Database. The cars were then ranked according to the number of listed appearances, as well as the percentage of prolonged time they had on-screen. This data is accurate as of January 2024.

Key Findings:

• Tesla is Hollywood's favorite EV maker, with the Tesla Model S getting more on-screen appearances than any other car (over 400) — including in "Ozark," "Kingsman: The Secret Service," "The Girl on the Train" and "Fifty Shades of Grey."

• Tesla's Model S, Model 3 and Model X have almost 700 on-screen appearances combined.

• When it comes to quality screen time, though, Honda and Audi's electric cars get the most overall.
