GameBoy Color ~ Post-Mod Repairs: Part 1

I dropped a replacement screen into My GBC a bit ago. It's great - I love it.

The only issue I'm experiencing is some audio whine on the headphone jack (no whine over the speaker).

If anyone has any insight about problems like these, please let me know in the comments.

Ordered a capacitor upgrade, but thought I'd try this while I waited.

Disassembled the system last night and cleaned out the power switch to see if that helped. Was tipped off that this part, if dirty, could cause issues with power-hungry modifications like screen upgrades.

End result: Cleaning the power switch seems to have helped but did not solve the issue.

On to the recap / upgrade once that order arrives.
