Claude Warden - Save Tokens w/ Clever Hooks
This is a 3 piece system, I recommend just checking out the hooks & seeing if you want to set this up. Before the end of the month I'll have it available in an all-in-one binary.
Installing these hooks will save you a LOT of tokens. Basically just helps you keep claude from dumping a shit ton of tokens into context. Will save big dumps to files. If claude tries to read large files or grep too much at once etc. it will prevent it from dumping it all into its context window.
This GitHub repository, johnzfitch/claude-warden, provides token-saving hooks for Claude Code, which prevent verbose output, block binary reads, enforce subagent budgets, and truncate large outputs. It pairs with claude-usage-helper for budget tracking and cost telemetry. The hooks intercept tool calls at various stages to enforce efficient patterns and block waste. It supports Linux, macOS, and WSL platforms.
